No matter how good your diet is or how many supplements you take, it is imperative that you incorporate exercise into your lifestyle.

We do know that sometimes time and responsibilities make it quite difficult to “get your sweat on,” so we are going to give you 12 tips for incorporating exercise into your lifestyle.

Incorporating Exercise Into Your Lifestyle Tip #1: Start With Your Mind

The fact that you are reading this post tells us you are realizing that exercise needs to be a part of your life. To get started just get in the mindset you will move more.

  • Stop using remotes
  • Consciously get up from your desk and move on a regular basis
  • Skip the elevator and take the stairs
  • Etc…

Just get your mind adapted to more movement and you will gain a better exercise mindset.

Incorporating Exercise Into Your Lifestyle Tip #2: Have An Exercise Routine You Can Do Anywhere

It helps to develop a simple exercise plan you can do anywhere. If you are traveling and in a hotel room, can you perform the exercises in that confine?

Consider things like push-ups, crunches, squats, etc…

Now it is good to walk, jog or bike, but if you are in another country or the weather is bad, you will still be getting exercise.

Walking does a body good!

No matter the type of work you are doing, you surely take breaks. And, while the temptation of sitting down and drinking coffee or eating a snack, why not go for a short walk?

You could still snack as you walk… snack on something healthy.

After that walk, you will probably progress better with your tasks because you got your adrenaline up by walking.

During a conference call, have your dumbbells handy. While the meeting is in progress, you can do curls, extensions and shoulder presses. Those who are in the meeting will never know and you can get a great workout.

We all do it… We circle the parking lot 3, 4, 5 and even 10 times trying to get a close space.

Try something new, park as far from the door as possible.

This way you have created an exercise in walking to and from the business you are visiting. It’s a great way to get some needed exercise.

I would say to walk or bike to wherever you must go but for many people, that is impossible. But in many areas, there is public transportation. By taking a bus, train or subway, you will get more exercise because you will be moving more.

If it’s fun, you won’t regret doing it!

Make it fun! Do the exercises you like and enjoy. If you make it fun and not like a chore, you will be excited every time you exercise.

While other couples are going to the movies or out to eat, why not make dates that require movement… exercise?

A nice walk through a secluded park or even window shopping in the mall is just a couple of ways you can turn a date into an exercise time.

For those of you who do not have the area for an outside garden, there are many ways you can grow inside small living areas.

Just search the many articles online on growing a garden in small areas.

Setting your alarm clock 1 hour earlier will allow you to take an early jog, walk or bike ride.

It may seem difficult at first, but as you get adjusted, you will appreciate what the early workout does for your physical and mental attitude.

Most people who institute an early workout in their day claim their business benefited because they would actually think clearer and get more accomplished.

Keep track of your exercise accomplishments and keep pushing yourself to go just a little more…

  • You walked ½ mile today; how about ¾ mile tomorrow?
  • Pushed out 30 squats while on a 10-minute break; next break, push out 40.
  • You played tag with the kids in the neighborhood for ½ hour; invite them to a basketball game next time.
  • Etc…

When you consistently up the goal, you are setting yourself up for exercise success.

I mentioned earlier about taking the stairs instead. Something else you can add to that which will really help your cardio is taking 2 stairs at a time. Just be careful doing so.

It is an excellent way and while you are at it, slowly pick up your pace on the stairs.

You surely want to be at 100% for your

  • Career or Business
  • Self

Some people assume that you have to start running marathons or join a gym. While those are great goals, you first have to start incorporating exercise into your lifestyle.

Now, I only listed 12 ideas.

I suggest you just get creative also. Movement is a huge part of the equation. Stand more, walk more, even jog to your car from time to time.

You WILL notice a huge change in your physical and mental health by making exercise a natural part of your lifestyle. And these 12 tips will get you started.
